On the paths of the Cantal Volcano --- Long stay 8 days

The Cantal is a land of contrasts, boasting varied and surprising landscapes, from the undulating forests to the peaks of the great volcano.  This break offers you the chance to discover some magnificent trails and small rugged paths, accompanied by Luc or Thierry.  Located in the Parc Régional des Volcans, the Bellevue accommodation is the perfect base for discovering the local cuisine meticulously prepared by Florence. You’ll be enchanted by authentic shared moments that will surprise you at every turn.

The advantages of your break:

  • A varied programme of hiking excursions to discover the many facets of the Cantal volcano
  • Tour guides with in-depth regional knowledge
  • An all-inclusive break in an authentic family atmosphere
  • No need to drive (SNCF train stations at Murat and Le Lioran).

Holiday programme

  • The Plateau d'En Golneuf and its panoramic view of Cantal. Nestled between the valleys of the Alagnon and Santoire rivers, this plateau plunges you into the heart of the Massif for your first contact with the magnificent summer pastures where Aubrac and Salers cows graze during the summer.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to immerse yourself in the unspoilt Cantal countryside.
  • The Puy Griou and the three valleys (1690 m). This mineral summit, built from phonolite, offers an unforgettable hiking experience where every step resonates in harmony with the singing stones.
  • An unforgettable journey from Le Lioran to the hotel via the Bec de l'Aigle or the Rochers de la Sagne du Porc. This hiking trip will captivate you with the beauty of its landscapes.

  • The Cirque de Chamalière and the Puy du Rocher. This hiking trail takes you around this magnificent glacial cirque with its perfectly formed amphitheatre landscape. Preserved from all man-made development, this environment is ideal for observing wildlife.
  • The Grand Site de France Puy Mary, between Impradine and Santoire, where you can choose between two peaks: Peyre Arse (1806 m) or Puy Mary (1787 m). We’ll choose the one with the least number of visitors to offer you a unique hiking experience, in the heart of nature and far from the crowds. As you climb one of the most beautiful ridges, you’ll be able to admire breathtaking scenery that fades into the distance.

This is an example of what can be offered, but it can be modified for various reasons. This programme is not contractually binding.
