Fête de l’Estive

The traditional Fête de l’Estive is held every year at the end of the year, bringing together more than a dozen herds of Salers cattle to parade through the main street of Allanche, to the sound of traditional Auvergne music and bandas, all day Saturday. On Sunday, it’s time for the climb up to the Estive, with the farmer and his herd accompanying them to the summer pasture.
